  2. wow that is one impressive collection. I like the fact that its all colour co-ordinated. I guess thats why you're the fashion gal. You were definitely inspired by some of those shoe-fascists I guess. Are there doors to cover that cupboard/shelf or are they on proud display and exposed to the elements? What brand of shoes do you normally purchase? Is there a reason why you buy them? What is your favourite style? What is your favourite colour? What is your favourite material (suede, patent, matte, sequenced)? What size of shoe do you wear?

OMG so many questions, I hope you can answer them all

  3. Hi Abbey!!

I would be happy to answer all you questions!

Yes at the moment my shoe closet is open! I was originaly going to get doors, but i am taking a liking to staring at my collection! I purchase many brands of shoes, I do however personaly love Tony Biancos. As a stylist there are a few things to consider when recomending shoes for a client. reasonable price, good quality, comfort, and selection of styles. Tony B shoes seem to rate faily well in all these departments. I look out for end of season sales as they can drop down by 70%! (careful not to buy an out of date trend).I love classic styles. I am a huge fan of points and super high pumps. I love a good patent shoe. (patent lasts really long time & dosnt need constant matenince or polishing like leather.)I also have a thing for good quality suede shoes. I wear size 7-8 depending on the brand.
    Ask me anything anytime!
have a good weekend Abbey :-)

  4. Hi Sandra

Thank you for your valuable views. You really know your stuff and I jusy read your most recent post on purchasing end of season items. So true with all your points, I will apply your method the next time I go shopping. Thanks Sandra so much. I will come back and ask you for more advice when I need it.

Like you I am a fan of TBs too. Recently I have found though that the shoe is running a little smaller than what I am used to. Maybe 1/2 a size, have you found this? Currently I think they are running quite narrow which I think is the reason that I have to get a 1/2 size bigger. I have bought a few pairs of ebay as they are usually 1/2 the price than what they are on the Tony B store. As I am in WA we don't have a Tony B store, you are lucky that you are in Sydney and that you can get the bargains. We have some small outlet stores like the Shoe Show that sells the occasional TB.

My morst recent TB purchases include the Ego/Eman style (points) and the Lina and Prance (round toe)shoe. Do you think that the round toe is here to stay for a little longer as I got a couple of pairs on special?

You mentioned that the patent shoes last longer, but what do you do when you get a mark/scuff. Especially black marks on a light coloured shoe. What would you recommend to do?

Can't wait for your reply. You have a wonderful weekend too, and may you win lotto so you can fill up your shoe closet.

  5. Miss Abbey,

It is quite common for your shoe size to change frequently, due to many reasons, manufacturing, different styles or cuts, fluid retention, warmer weather, swollen feet at the end of a long shopping session. Sizing also differs greatly between brands. I have not noticed TB's sizing change (but i do have narrow feet , so may not affect me ). I have shoes in my closet from size 6-9 thats how much sizing changes through out stores! If you are stuck between the choice of smaller or larger - choose the larger, you can always line your shoes with Party Feet (gel cushions) to fill in the space. If you buy smaller ones they will give you blisters and pinch and youll proberbly never wear them. The Tony Bianco website always has good deals , Sign up to the mail list ASAP!. I was able to take advantage of a 70% sale because i was notified by email - connected to my blackberry. They also give new members 20% off. And 30% for your birthday. A smart idea is to use your new member/birthday TB discount on sale items. I have bought TB shoes for as little as $40 doing this.

Patent ussally resists more to begin with and depending on the type of scuff some can be buffed out with soft cloth. Dark stains on light shoes can be tricky. It would be a good idea to prevent as much as possible, Always spray your shoes with protectant (purchased from any shoe store) and polish when nessisary. There also are specialty products which dissolve stains BUT BE CAREFUL some products can eat away at shoe paint. Always do a test patch first. I have lost two pairs of shoes to cleaning prouducts. RIP .. Oh and another little tip, most TB and Wittner shoes have a light beige sole, so to prevent foot stains place one or two ultra thin panty liners in the soles to keep the interior nice and clean! This method can also be used to prevent sweat marks on delicate jakets or shirts, Do be careful they dont slip out - huge faux pas lol...

Round toes- I definatly think they will be in for a while. Victoria Beakham dressed most of her models in round toes to preview her new collection. They are a simple cut and look especialy good with a platform eg; Tony Bianco Betty.

    Hope thats helped !

I am happy to answer any questions anytime!

Lets hope we both win lotto Abbey!

  7. Hi Sandy

Thanks again for your valuable tips and personal views. I think you should get a medal for your tips. The panty liner thing is a trier although normally i wipe the inside of the shoe at the end of a day with a wet wipe, as such I have very little stains. I guess the panty liner would add to the cushioning effect to.

Have you ever found that sometime after purchasing a shoe and you get glamoured up for an evening and you try to get it on it doesn't fit or its so loose? If its loose I just use a gel insert but in the earlier case I need to find another shoe to wear, :( . Why can't manufacturers just agree upon a size too. A 6 should be a 6, not a 5.5 or even a 7. A girlfriend of mine recently bought the Betty shoe from TB online but had to return it as it was far too tight. That particular shoe ran a whole size smaller, very annoying.

I took your advice and signed up online, hopefully I will get some good deals in the future.

Recently I bought the Luscious and Amber shoe from Wittner, both in patent black. I like them both but still prefer my TBs over them. I think I might be a Tony Bianco girl for life!!!

Enjoy your week and lets do hope we win lotto on the weekend. I know what I'll be spending my money on :) Jet setting around the world going from shop to shop looking to add to my collection.

  8. Yes Abbey i agree , it is quite hard to get it right sometimes due to different sizing! I guess we should look at it positively, We are lucky to be spoilt for choice in this wonderful country. The jettsetting sounds great ! We wish ! have a wonderful week
