Brownie Gift Box DIY

All the chaos of Christmas is building up as we grow nearer and nearer to the silly season each passing day. buying gifts for numerous family members is no easy task when stress levels are high and time is running out. Plus getting everyone a present doesn't come cheap. Some times its nice to receive a hand made gift. why not have a hand made gift that's edible too! plus its made out of recycled materials - good for your wallet, your tummy and the environment - What more could one ask for ?

Start with an old box (I'm using a perfume box)
and some old ribbons.

Remember to be creative ! Work with what you have available.

And try different variations -
bright coloured ribbons would be great for a kids brownie box

These glittery pink ribbons would be perfect  for little girly princess
ages 4-9

The gold is more sophisticated and traditional so would be great to bring as a gift to a Christmas party
The guests will defiantly be thanking you after they try them !

Because my box is silver and white, Im going to stick with the colour pallet and use silver ribbon and white tissue paper.

As you can see the box lid has a brand label on the front - so tie a pretty bow and stick it down to cover that label up.

Stuff you box with serviette's for height and lay the tissue paper on top .

Then make the brownies (do so whilst relaxing with a glass of wine and some music)

*I highly recommend using Bill Granger's recipe for brownies - they are the ultimate indulgence .

Chill brownies
Then cut and place in your box.

Decorate with fresh chilled berries
and finish with icing sugar.

Divine ! Who wouldn't love to receive a hand made gift like this !

Very simple and cost effective , so rather than heading off to the shops and forking out most of your wage this year, try spending time at home with the people you love and making a handmade gift !
That's whats Christmas is all about right !
